It's different everywhere you go, in fact where I live (in IL) it could vary from county to county. It's about 600-700$ USD to rent a decent apartment near or in Chicago. Cost of living is crazy, I would actually consider waiting until the economy gets better. |

I hope you understand that is a realy bad idea. The real unemployment rate at the end of January was 18% and it is still rising. North Carolina (aka "Wall Street South") has now been hit with massive layoffs, starting in the financial industry, but they are starting to spread. Las Vegas is a disaster area as tourism falls, and with the drought, there is no water. |

Please advise what visa you are using to come here. We need that information before we can give a meaningful answer.
Also, the unemployment rate in the USA is very high right now and jobs are very hard to get. West Virginia has the lowest unemployment right now.
Living costs can be anything from $1000 a month to $10,000 depending on what you expect. |

That really would depend on where you choose to live (expense). Places like New York city and other big cities are more expensive. Also states like NY and California have high taxes. Right now North Carolina nad Las Vegas seem to have good employment opportunties. I wish you lots of luck and hope you enjoy the U.S.A. |

The costs will literally depend on what month you are coming. Currently due to the way things are going prices are going to SKYROCKET on everything starting very very soon.
We are in for some very interesting times to say the least...
