Here is something you may want to read. Also may I advice you that petitioning a wife while still a permanent resident can be a very long wait for the both of you. As of April 1, 2009 they are still processing applications for spouses of LPR's from the Philippines filed in August 15, 2004. So there is a 4+ year wait. You probably will be a naturalized citizen and can upgrade your petition of your wife by then. But no harm if you petition her now. At least all the paperwork will be done. Good luck! |

You can file Form I-130. In a 5 years or so her visa number will become current so she can get a visa. |
