How can my family from Saudi Arabia visit us in U.S.A?

They have lived there for over 17 years. We are all so desperate and dying to see them. Every time they have attempted to apply for Visa, the embassy tells them they won't grant them one. Does anyone know what the issue is and how to deal with it? Can i contact some sort of high authorities here in the States to help them out? Please any information you provide could be of major help.

Since your name is Sean, I have to assume your parents aren't Saudi. Their real problem is that they almost certainly aren't citizens there and haven't been able to prove to the satisfaction of the interviewing officers that they would return to Saudi Arabia if they went to the US. It can be pretty difficult for third country nationals, who left their home country already to live and work somewhere else to convince the officer that somehow their ties to Saudi Arabia are stronger than their original ties to the Philippines or whatever other country they are from, especially if they have close family ties in the US. It might depend on just what sort of jobs they're currently holding in Saudi Arabia. Of course, if you are a US citizen, or when you become one, you can file immigrant visa petitions on their behalf. Since they've been turned down repeatedly, it's highly unlikely that you'll be able to do anything to get the embassy in Riyadh to issue them tourist visas. You can always try writing your congressman, but that's really not likely to have much effect. |

The state department stopped issuing visas for most unofficial requests from the middle east several years ago. Why dont you just go visit them, it would be quite a bit easier since you are already a US citizen.
However, the state department is who they would contact. |
