I am sorry this has happened to you. I would strongly suggest you report it to the police and your local branch of what ever bank you are in. Who can then reissue your cards and find out what happened to your money

I don't know how old you are but from what you have said on your post and from your very flawed logic, I don't think you know enough to contribute constructively to the debate about immigration. For one, you make the word "immigrants" sound like a dirty word. That you got conned by people who are non-British bears no relevance to what that section of the society contributes to the British economy. It seems to me that your intolerance for immigrants stems from something other than you being out of pocket for Â£500. Your gripe should be that you were conned and not that you were conned by immigrants, because it wouldn't make a blind bit of difference if you were conned instead by a British person. You would still have lost Â£500. And just so you know, forget whether they contribute anything to the British economy or not, you have no more right to be in this country than those "east european block heads" as you call them because chances are they are part of the EU. If you cannot think of anything to attribute to immigrants other than the loss of your Â£500, let me give you some basic truths that exist whether you like it or not. While immigrants alone cannot sustain the NHS, if however they all left, the NHS will grind to a halt. Immigrants contribute approximately Â£7 billion pounds a year to the British economy in taxes and that goes a long way to fund services like Housing Benefits, Income Support, Tax Credits, etc that most of them do not qualify to receive. If all the immigrants working illegally in the city of London left, the London economy will crash in a month, never mind if all those working legally left. So as I hope you are now begining to see, the immigration issue is a far more serious question than your missing Â£500

Inform the bank straight away. Most cash point machines have a camera which can record transactions. They can watch the film and identify the scammers and hopefully arrest them.

I feel really sorry for you, its awful to be scammed like that.

And no these sort of people are not contributing anything to the economy - I hope they are tracked down and arrested.

I received a warning email about this happening but didn't realise it actually did. Also be aware if an immigrant offers you cheap perfume at a petrol station. One whiff and you're unconscious and they've stolen your car and belongings. what's the UK coming to?

And of course the UK never had scammers and thieves 20 years ago... I saw a documentary about world war II and people saying how everyone cared for everyone else and the good old war spirit etc, then they interviewed some criminals who said there were rich pickings with houses being blown up, black outs (the could roam undetected) they could loot to their hearts content.
