Here is the Question. If a Student has duel citizenship.I Know most people do not know what duel citizenship mean.. so the best way i can answer the question If your mom or dad was in the military and if she/he has a kid overseas the kid will have citizenship in that country and the USA my question is this.. How can you force a child to do the pladge of allegiance. when the child has duel citizenship?

Nobody can be forced to do the pledge of allegience, however if you are a citizen, it shows your support for your chosen country or countries. |

I don't see anything wrong. Even non-US citizens say the pledge. You're just pledging allegiance to the flag and the country, you're not renouncing allegiance to any other flag or country.
But legally, no one can be forced to say the pledge (or anything else). Citizenship is irrelevant. |

you cant make a studentt do the pledge of allegiance, they have rights and if choosing not to do it is their freedom of speech. you cant be forced to do it. nobody really did it at my school and were all americans. besides isnt the national anthem enough? |

This has NOTHING to do with dual citizenship. Even if the child only has US citizenship, you can't force a student to do the pledge. This has gone through the Supreme Court before. |

You can't force a child to do the pledge of allegiance. It should be left to the child to decide if he/she wants to pledge their faith and loyalty to our country. You could ask the child if they'd like to and if they say no leave it at that and don't force it upon them. That's the worst thing you could do. Let them decide for themselves. |

i don't believe that that's a example of duel citizenship. it would still be just a u.s citizen. you can't force a child to go against their beliefs. so now this is about you and not your question. |

well legally you can't just throw something at him and tell him to do it, besides duel citizenship should be illegal. if you're here then you need to pledge your allegiance because our soldiers have faught too long and hard for you to not pledge. |

if they live in this country, then they should abide by this countries rule. if they live on the other country, the abide by those rules. anyone who is an american or part american should be proud of their country. i dont think there is any other government better on treating its citizen fairly. |
