From this article in Newsweek a lot of the Americans are very critical of him as well, but I think the difference is that Britain is in the EU and Geert Wilders was in trouble with the Dutch government for inciting racial hatred, and member countries need to respect each other's laws.
Remember that his extremist standpoint is that there is no such thing as a 'moderate Muslim' and that Islam has a built in message to promote violence and terrorism, so by not distinguishing between Islam and 'Islamism' he insults the whole religion. And as for 'free speech', well, he wants the Quran banned............ |
