The Needy are LEGAL citizens that lost their job, and can not get any help from our government.

Frankly, we WERE compassionate. We gave amnesty to millions only to watch them become 'bases' to bring in more illegally. Hispanic organizations have estimated that 1/3 of all illegal immigrants here today are relatives of those legalized through amnesty. Their point is that we should give residence to family not here as well, but what I take from it is that once they didn't think coming illegally was a big deal, they thought bringing others illegally was just fine too.
Our schools are failing OUR children with programs cut to fund ESL programs that would be MUCH smaller if the parents of so many hadn't come illegally. What about compassion to OUR children and to OUR sick and poor?
Entitlement while breaking our laws does NOT inspire compassion. |

What the heck are you TALKING about. Have you heard of the millions of illegal children that have housing, schooling, medicine and food at the tax payers expense?

The problem is that there is a TON of government money going to illegals.. and they are ILLEGAL.

Because they are illegal. That means they have broken the law. So, why should they deserve any sympathy? They don't have to be here if they don't like it. In fact, they are not entitled to be here. Get that, they should not be here. If they want compassion. let them go back to the paradises they have fled.
And to the person who thinks illegals actually pay taxes. Get real. They are paid cash for day work. It is not on the books, it is not by check, it is cash in hand, no taxes, no social security paid, but plenty claimed. |

I like to help those who will help themselves. Breaking the laws of my land and standing with your hands out for help is pathetic. I say a 30' high fence should do. If they get over it without getting hurt, then it will be legal. If they fall and get hurt on U.S. soil then we send em back! I don't like some laws, but I am not going to break them and then ask you to buy me a car because I broke the law. |

I guess for me, if I saw Mexicanos dying in a fight to make their country a better place to live, fighting for justice and right, I would feel far more compassionate towards them.
At this point in time, they have it tough in their own country and would rather leave their country, steal into ours and create woes for us rather than fight for the law and order we all use as our basis. They ignore or simply do not understand law and order and it's importance.
Their country is trashed in many ways. Yet they are very proud of their country. They feel they can do no wrong. Illegals are out of touch ...and they are also, out of control here.
I am sympathetic but I see no reason to feel compassion to/for someone who steals from me ...but won't fight for his own rights in his/her own country in the so called needyness that Mexicanos for some reason can't overcome in Mexico.
All they do is bring their poverty of spirit and lust for money/opportunity to the USA and degrade our world in their simple ignorance. Yet they are proud and un-embarrasingly willing to take the well being of their neighbors to the North. All the while speaking in their own native tongue that they have come to reclaim the land that was once theirs.
These people don't need compassion as much as they need ...a wake up call. |

It looks like we are all thinking the same way.I, dont have compassion for illegal immegrants either, they are breaking our laws. in their country the first time you get caught its 5 years in jail, the second time they shoot you.forget the fence we need to do it there way,first time 5 years in jail the next time shoot them. |

Being poor isn't a crime but being here illegally is. Besides.....when people have shown compassion, whether it be by letting someone mow your yard (when you didn't NEED it) to donating things to help, to offering to help teach English etc....and then have them spit in your face calling you lazy, demanding more and treating you like a fool because you did care.....well...that kind of freezes the compassion. When you "understand" their lack of bathroom manners because they didn't have them where they came from...and then you find out the dude is whizzing in your front yard because they want you out of their neighborhood......sort of puts a halt to it. I could go on but people have had their own experiences as to whether they want to feel compassion anymore or not. I know they used mine up long ago. You get your hand bit enough times and then you don't bother anymore. I don't do anything to hurt them, but forget it if you expect compassion anymore. |
