I am truelly sorry you feel this way! America does have a huge problem with racism, and a lot of people are in denial! Not many people want to be labled a racist!

There are a lot of people in America that are strictly against illigal immigration, and not against Mexican people as a whole. When they use terms like: if you are illegal then take your burrito eating a** back to Mexico or any other derogatory statements like that, who could blame any Mexican for taking offense to that?? I am offended and I am not even Mexican!

I don't think the asker is using the race card, he is only asking why people have to use we are only against the illegal immigrants, not the race, and then follow up with a stereotypical statement like the example I used above!

People say stereotypical things then get mad when they get called out on it and pull out the race card themselves! What a messed up country we live in!!!!!

Look in your own back yard. You think just because you don't speak English that we don't understand what you are saying. Hispanics and Mexicans are as much or more racist than the rest of us. They play the race card when they know they are trapped by their failure to obey the laws and by what's right. It's an excuse. But the truth is coming out. Your Hispanic Lawyers groups are getting exposed. Just today the conference that some PA attorneys held to educate corporates on how to hire illegals and immigrants and keep U.S. Citizens out of the jobs was exposed. Ya there is a large amount of racism here. Personally I have no problem with Hispanics, blacks, Asians, whites, what ever. The people that I have a problem with are illegals whether they be Hispanic, black, white, Asian, etc. I have a problem with people, were ever they are from, coming here illegally when people pay and study for years to get here legally. The only reason people focus more on illegals from Mexico is because that make up a very large percent of the illegal population, not just because they are Hispanic.

Also, the majority of racism I see on here is actually directed at white people. "The white man is trying to get rid of us", "The white man is loosing control of America", " The white man is going to be a minority", " The white man is not going to stop us".

Let me tell ya something Hoe-Zay (that's a joke, by the way), I wasn't a racist until a bunch of ignorant, fence-jumping illegals starting saying I'm racist.
What confuses me is that mexican is NOT a race. Most mexicans are mestizo, which means MIXED races.
Perhaps you should do a little bit of research before throwing around the "R" word, as it doesn't really bother most of us anymore.

I agree with you. I am white and I think some people go to extremes when it comes to foriegn people in America. I don't have time to give statistics....but there are far more caucausions on welfare, foodstamps, jails etc. Than hispanics or african americans.

Who did this country initially belong to??? Native American Indians!!!! Did white man not come over here, slaughter them left and right and steal America out from under there noses??? Ya know, my in laws escaped from the communist in East Germany and my father in law was wanted by the East German government for leaving "got out right before the Berlin wall went up" they didn't sneak in here and make demands or ask for social programs. they worked hard to make a life for themselves the legal way. so why can't your people do it too? I think one of the real problems lies with the fact that we Americans get tired of hearing about how horrible of a country we are from much of the international community and yet still people are lying, cheating and willing to risk their lives to get here. You can't have it both ways!

I don't mind LEGAL immigration, that is the way my forefathers came here from Germany, England and Switzerland. I do mind people who are coming here and decimating some state's medical and educational systems. If you are illegal, you don't pay taxes like most Americans do and yet you get the same services (I saw this first hand when I was teaching in Gainesville, Georgia). And then Americans get slammed for not being nice enough to welcome illegal aliens with open borders. We do more (esp our churches and service organizations) for illegal immigrants than some countries ever do for their own citizens. I think normal, middle class Americans are just tired of being told by political groups what to think and feel about issues that directly affect us. Is it racism? I think that word gets thrown around enough and it may apply to some situations. But I truly believe Americans are a generous sort and we prove that time and time again in international disasters. Everyone looks to us for help, yet some still like to slam us at the first opportunity. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. So if some of us are a bit touchy, it might be tempers flaring over a situation we feel is a no win one.

The above comment of yours totally explains how lacking your economics and poli sci education is my friend. One, Alberto G is not breaking any laws when he is purchasing a house in Mexico. Two, he is helping your lackluster economy build itself up. Three, I don't think Americans object to tourists and those here legally for work or school, just those coming to our country undocumented.

2. This "white, English speaking people's" land was stolen from the original inhabitants, the First Nations, aka Native Americans (with a "c"). Through forced relocation, deliberate biological genocide, and broken treaties.

3. Bleeding welfare? These idiotic Amerikkkans ever heard of "Halliburton", or a least the concept of "corporate welfare"?
