How do I get a work permit for USA?

It is difficult to get permission to come the US to work but if you can come and do some auditions or make some connections on a B1 tourist/business visa then your agent or employer can see about getting you a working visa. For artists and performers this is much simpler as I understand it.

There is a response here by a responder who consistently writes demeaning and abusive, and non-responsive "answers" to questions when they involve people coming to the USA to work or live. Typically includes a gratuitious insult and a racial disparagement when he can. As an American I'm embarrassed by that sort of mean and jingoistic attitude, so my apologies on behalf of my nation. And please do ignore that response.

One additional possibility -- you might check to see if there is a work exchange program between the US and UK as there is between the US and Ireland, that allows you twelve months to work in the US within a year of finishing school.

No disrespect, but you are not going anywhere near the U.S. anytime soon, except for a vacation maybe.

There is no casual work permit for your purposes. I would also make sure you "agent" is competent is matters of U.S. Federal Immigration-- or your career here will be very short lived.

You cannot. Only an employer can apply for an employment visa. For a special (and hard to obtain) visa for entertainers and artists, after you make it on the London stage, if your play's production comes to the US, the production company will apply for appropriate visas for all of the actors. Or your agent/producer might get you one if you were contracted for a Broadway play or a movie, etc.

Until you are renowned in the UK, you cannot come to the US. "Wannabes" do not qualify.

You would have to be sponsored by an employer in this country.
There are hundreds of thousands of young girls in Hollywood with the same talent and determination as you. Very few of them go anywhere. Most of them end up on the streets doing whatever they can to survive. It isn't easy to get anywhere in the entertainment business without connections somewhere.
Unless you have alot of money to support yourself while you are trying to "make it" you'd be better to work in your own country.

Once you get hired by US Employer, they will apply work permit for you. Until then keep trying. Good luck.

You don't need a permit. Just come as a student for 4 months and you can work here illegally. The Mexicans do it, why shouldn't you? You're probably white and pretty so come on in....
