How do I get my Danish Girlfriend in the US and allow her to work as well?

I have a girlfriend I met in Denmark while studying abroad. We are very serious but marriage or engagement is not an option yet. We would like to take our time and do it at the right time, but we can't be together if we don't. Our only options are marriage, engagement or she gets a temporary or permanent work visa for a job in which US citizens can't fulfill themselves. This is impossible to get. I don't know what my options are as we want to be together and live together but she would need to work while here but immigration rules do not permit. Do I have any alternative options? Can I talk to a state representative?

Marriage gets her in if ure a citizen but if u get divorced 2 soon or the government thinks its fraudulent then ure in some trouble...and she get a job at like mcdonalds or burger king...mmmmmmmm burgers |

Talking about Danish makes me hungry.
No engagement or no marriage = no green card.
I guess she could come here on F student visa, work on campus or OPT, while you get to know one another better.
If you're both real young, don't do anything stupid, like get married. |

Sadly, you have answered your own question. The options are sponsorship by an employer who can prove she is better for the job than any US applicant, or marriage... there really is no other way around it. |

Probably not. You should probably just get her a visa. Or move to Denmark. I don't think there are many other options. Even if you talk to a state representative you'd still have to get a visa. That's just the way things work now. |
