Why would you?
There are NO jobs at the moment and none in the foreseeable future.

Come back around 2012 and we can start back to work then.

There will be a BIG clearance sale in Washington that year and then we will be good to go.

You need:
1. Master's Degree
2. 10-20 years expirience in your field.
3. Then find an employer in the US that want to hire you based on your skills.
4. The Employer would have to pay $20,000~ for your papers, and also prove the INS that there are not enough educated people to do this job in the US and that's why he's brining a foreigner.

Unless you are a CEO or a doctor with a lot of expirience you have no chance, arrange a marriage or something- much easier.

Work visas are available to certain professions like nurses and engineers. These are just some of the examples, of course. First make sure your profession is in demand and check the companies who need your services and check which state in the US has the demand for your profession or which state you want to live in. There are 50 states in the US. Good luck!

P.S. Apply in the company you are interested in so they can sponsor you to work for them. If you are coming from another country, you might need to look into reputable agencies for help in getting hired with companies here. I hope you are a nurse. It would make it so much easier.
