I want to know how ppl feel when they have to come to the U.S.
I have to write a short story on how it would be if i had to leave Ireland bacuse of the potato famine and come to the U.S. where would i live, jobs and how it would feel.
Please help.

In the case of ireland and the potatoes, I have no idea, but I can tell you that in our case, it is terrible
Having to wait ( if you have a chance of getting a visa ) for years, sometimes people dying while they wait, seeing no improvement in your country, loss of hope. The feeling of being unrooted is terrible
Anyway you present it, leaving your country is like losing part of your body |

Well Yasmin you`ll have to wait for someone else to answer your q. specifically. I will answer how I as U.S. citizen feel about those who come to U.S....U.S. does not need ANY immigrants, there are enough citizens to fill all the job position openings for all imagined jobs, from lawn care to science lab jobs. U.S. has become self sufficient in everything-long ago-and legal immigrants that U.S. admitts each year is a curtesy & compassion to countries qualified emigrants are coming from-not a desperate need of them by U.S....And illegals are making everything lot worse by wiping their muddy shoes on U.S. immigration laws and acting like they are doing a favor to Americans. |
