How do you feel about illegal immigration ,and what are the possible solutions?

Here's how I feel about it, it's illegal, just as the term implies. It's great that people come here from other countries and we should be proud that we live where everyone else wants to come. However, I don't think illegal immigration is a good thing because it overloads the system. People should follow the procedures when coming here, just like we'd have to do if going to another country. Now, big, complicated problems often have small, simple solutions. First, the laws that are currently on the books just need to be enforced. The only way to really slow or stop the flow of illegal immigrants is to eliminate that which draws them here. The way to do that is by fining employers who hire them.

in Arizona we dealt with it ,those people have 32 days left to leave voluntarily.the solution was sb1070. since it was signed into law, but not enforced yet illegal hispanics are leaving in droves. in today's Arizona republic they had a front page report on families leaving for Pennsylvania. this new paper seems to think putting editorials on the front page instead of important news reflects its readership. WRONG those SOB stories only make the 70% in favor of the new law want to have the law in effect NOW.

here is my take on it.
Illegal immigration is wrong, just the word illegal states it is wrong
Deport all illegal immigrants and give all law enforcement local, state and federal law officer the authority to hold and to detain illegal immigrants.
Actually prosecute all people employing illegal immigrants
At the hospitals treat illegal patients then detain and call the authorities.
If babies born in the USA to illegal parents then they can not claim US citizenship until he or she turns 18.

solutions:
Give 6 month work visas to Mexicans with the clause if they stay longer then stated on the visa they will be banned for life.
Make immigrations process little faster.
Send all these protesters around the world who don't currently have jobs or a life to Mexico to
start marches, demonstrations, so the Mexican government can fix their country.

im afraid the only Solution seem to be the authorization of lethal force against them but of coarse Obama wants to give money to illegal immigrants

The only solution is to pass laws that impose strict sanctions against employers that hire illegals.

However that is unlikely to pass since like in 1986, the Chamber of Commerce, the farm lobby, and other businesses opposed those sanctions and therefore the republican party wouldn't support immigration reform until employers were given a free pass.

That is why when it was recently found that "American Apparel" hired 1,500 illegals, the government didn't even attempt to fine them.

Strict employer sanctions have been proven the only way to reduce illegal immigrants. In Switzerland, 18% of the work force are temporary immigrant workers but they do not have an illegal immigrant problem due to strict employer sanctions.

I feel its wrong when people who have families and kids here are deported...thats my issue because I think its cruel and wrong and the majority of people here are going to disagree with me because it just seems like everybody has so much hatred for undocumented people like no other. Another issue I have is that if this was just an illegal immigration issue and not about race then why the hell do I have people coming at me telling me to get out of the country or say comments like illegals are ruining the country implying that am one when I am a citizen..huh? I'm not even Mexican or hispanic and although I may look like one and don't look white doesn't mean I'm illegal. I never even been there jeez. I used to oppose illegal immigration but now I kinda understand where undocumented people are coming from when they say this is a race issue.

Illegal Immigration is not a good thing. But the immigration system is so jammed up with inflexible rules, that it is a wonder that there is any legal immigration (or businesses which haven't outsourced). Americans love inflexible formulas and blanket pronouncements that make people "legal" or "illegal" because people just do not understand the complexities of the law. Only 40% of "illegals" ever did anything "illegal" and the five year statute of limitations is long past on many. The other 60% were brought here by their parents or citizen spouses or are overstays which is not a crime.

Bush's 2007 immigration bill should have been passed. But the only real solution is to throw out all the INA's inflexible rules and allow aliens to apply for adjustment of status, within the US. USCIS and Immigration judges can decide who should stay and who should go on a case by case basis, and the system won't jam up so bad that we need an amnesty every 30 years to clear the backlog. Forget RealID, we need a social security card to be issued to every citizen and alien indicating whether they have permission to work and for everyone to carry it.

People don't like this idea and talk about deterrence, but it hasn't worked. Even East Germany, with 47000 men, walls, wire, mines, and a shoot to kill policy never completely stopped illegal border crossings on a border 1/10 the length of ours.

I don't like it, BUT I am realistic and know that it is pretty ridiculous AND inhumane to start deporting the majority now because so many of these folks have children here and/or have been part of their communities for a very long time.

We need to buck up as Americans now and get these folks signed up to be legal residents. I am not in favor AT ALL of deporting a mother who is illegal with children who have been born and raised here. No Way, No How. I'm not even OK with that happening even if the child wasn't born here! (lol) That is mean spirited and un-Christ-like and I'm not goin' out like that... when I die, I want God to know that I did what was right, loving and kind.
