How does an illegal immigrant collect child support and why does family law not consider immigration status?

I married an illegal immigrant about 9 years ago, had a son and then we split up. I haven't been in contact with him until Aug. 2007 I filed for divorce in Feb. 2008 now 14 months later we are finally divorced but him being an illegal alien using multiple identities and tax evasion supplying false documents to his employer never came into play when deciding where my son should be placed. no one seems to care that if he's deported that is detrimental to my son and it could happen at any time. They could raid Martin Selig real estate and take all the illegals in one fail swoop. How is any of this o.k ? if it was a U.S. citizen than this would all be admissible and I would be in jail on numerous counts of fraud and a whole host of felony charges. I don't know what else to do.

Oh my, you married an illegal alien, spawned his anchor baby, and now you are having trouble collecting child support.

All illegals need deporting. You would just have to get a part time job to make up for whatever he would be paying in child support, or get more government benefits.

Since you knowingly harbored an illegal alien you still fall under the statute of limitations for 8 USC 1324. That could get you 10 years in federal prison.

Do what every other single parent does, get a job and support your children yourself! Everyone who marries or gets involved with an illegal knows this can happen and then they whine when nothing can be done. Thanks for listing yet another employer who is breaking the law. There are many woman who married legal citizens and are going thru the same battles for child support and never receive any. Many citizens are growing up without fathers in their lives too because of the crimes of these illegals, your child has a criminal for a father and I doubt you ever receive anything from him, turn this person in and build a life for you and your son, educate others on what you have had to go thru so they do not get mixed up with illegals and go thru the same thing.

The illegal alien should to his/her home of record(the country they came from, and technically never left) and apply there.

Well, you sure do have a A LOT of information on him even though you haven't talked to him in a few years....either you are making this up, or he was dumb enough to confess everything with all the details. But I really feel that you are making this up, and you probably have something against the real estate company, and hope someone on here reports them to ICE.

all of u ppl who think that illegals are to be deported you should all be thinking that you are immigrants tooo the only ppl who aren't illegals are the native americans.....you should be looking for solutions to helping the immigrants that actually pay there taxes and work hard to give their children the life that they never had.....stop being sso ignorant.....its ignorance like that, that makes it hard for all the illegals to be able to work and take care of their children......
