Their status has not improved. Nor will it improve. That's what most do not understand. Liberals including Obama do not want to improve the status of anyone but themselves and will use certain groups to achieve their goal. In general society no ones status has improved but those with any status have been degraded. Lower everyone status so as to make it appear that the bottom levels have improved. An old liberal trick. Because you hand out money to certain groups like wild banshee's that doesn't improve the status of any group. All that means is that they are accepting more handouts.

Status is achieved thru a moral and conscientious effort to be a good responsible person who has regard for others. It does not come the possession of money or material things. Those that have it status have it because it cannot be given. There are those in every cultural group that have status as well there are those in all cultural groups who will never have it.
