pretty hard. you need to have family ties here or a job waiting. no other way except that green card lottery...

you can apply for a job here... your employer will have to state that you are necessary for this job... its a lot of paperwork and waiting time...


do people in new zealand like Flight of the Conchords? (sorry, couldn't resist)

You must have a sponsor, either immediate family member or US Employer, who must file petition for you.

I come to the USA in September from the UK, i married my American wife here. Its took 2 years a ton of paper work, 3thousand pounds, trips to London embassy, san fransisco embassy. I had an AOS (Adjustment of status) interview in February i had to prove i was living with my wife, photo evidence, letters, bank statements etc. Then a bio-metrics interview.

I received my green card this week. It is a nightmare. I will receive my work permit soon. And i have to have another interview in 2 years.

You have 3 options

Get a fiance visa like me, but that means you have to marry someone lol

Move here for a job offer

If you have family here you can move here easier
