I'm a Filipino and a Green Card holder. Now I have to do something personal in the Philippines, How long can I stay there so I don't have to file a re-entry permit. If I overstay what would be the penalties?

You can stay up to 12 months, but one day over the line and that will be that. The penalty for overstaying would be losing your green card.

6 months, you can lose your residency if you overstay outside usa!
