As a single parent with 4 children I worked my socks off , ususally doing 2 jobs, and paid my taxes. and I didn't do it to help supprt freeloaders.

Let me tell you about *some mythical non existant help* that DO not exist:

If you come here "illegally" with your wife and she is about to give birth, WE, the tax payers", will pay for the delivery, there you'll get some US$18,0000.00 paid to the hospital. For "free" for you, but NOT for the tax payers.

You 'll have a baby that is officially "an anchor baby", it means your baby is *automatically* a USA citizen, and you two, as parents, probably will not get deported, see?? another benefit!!

Then your wife can claim a program named "WIC" where for some times after she had the "anchor baby", WE, the tax payers, will have to feed you, your wife and your baby, you got another benefit right there.

Then, when your son go to school, WE, the tax payers, will pay for his education,...another benefit!!!!!!!

See???, those are some of the *some mythical non existant help*, that *apparently* exist only in OUR tax payers minds.....

Oh I wouldn't worry to much, just come to England you probably wont even need to start work before you can claim any benefit, get housing, then you can bring over all your family and friends from your home country, increase the crime rate, drain the national health system, spread all your diseases, then if your really lucky your probably get to sue some one, i.e police force/housing/court system because you are not being treated fairly and equally in England, then get major payout!!! "Happy Days"

Depending on where you come from in the EU depends on when you can claim.

If your from "Eastern Block" that joined a few years ago or the 2 that joined this year, need to have worked for 2 yrs full time with no less than 4 weeks between jobs

Don't know about the housing & money for food but don't suppose if I went to your country I'd get any help like you do here

All your life my friend. I've done 25 years hard labour and paid tax for Britain one day situation changed I was out of work and did not get a penny , reason given my wife is working. It was in 1996.
Time has changed, good luck to you.

You will have to sub let a house, costing around Â£500 per month- the benefit agency will pay around Â£300 per month, then you have council tax, gas, electric, food and much more and to pay all this you get Â£54 per week from benefit agency, you are then forced to find a job and if you don't they will find one for you or you could work full time earning around Â£5.35 per hour to pay all of the above. There is a shortage of housing for the people who live here, waiting around 10 years for a flat, you would be better staying where you are.
