for some, it will never be enough. pastor wright and those that listen and believe him,8-80 and they will pass that hate and racism to their kids, that is the cycle of hate. parent to child, minister to parishiner, teacher to student. every race is the same. |

They want Whitey to grovel at their feet. They want more welfare. They want more "Affirmative Action." They want "reparations" for slavery. They want some more White women, like the fat ones you see them with at Walmart.
I think that about sums it up. |

Sometimes people don't realize that they are being unreasonable or unjust until it's been pointed out. Just putting some light on what has been festering in secret for some time has been extremely healthy for the situation. We ALL need to be clear that the hate-filled speeches that have been secretly filling some churches is both unacceptable and wrong as it can give birth to even more hateful organizations. What I heard coming from Rev. Wright's mouth and being cheered by the congregation was eerily reminiscent of recordings of early hate groups. And perhaps there is a real reason for that -- Most hate groups ARE born out of a feeling of helplessness and impotence and use the church as a tool. Let's not let history repeat itself. |

I am not marinating it. Everyone I guess has a complaint of some sort. The double standard irritates me but so does a lot of things. I just wish they could realize that there anger is falling on deaf ears. Most white people in this country has never had anything to do with being racist. What we think is a different story but they will not change that by complaining, only make it worse. |

How long must we all marinate in the angry resentment of black people?
What does the African American community want? They have the same opportunity and rights as everyone else in America.
======================================
I understand your question, and we shall leave that there.
1. All African Americans do not have that position.
2. African American Leadership does not foster a historical, or balanced view of the issues.
I never owned slaves. I worked long hours to get three degrees while sleeping in a cold car on the parking lots of the University. LOTS, if not most, Americans are like me, and what Reverend Wright had to say was pure garbage if he is suggesting I am in that place, but it is much more important to understand MOST Americans who are white do not believe as Reverend Wright believes.. I cannot cure what Reverend Wright has to say. I don't even think I am the one to cure his bigotry and bias about 'white' people.
But there is, according to many of them... bigotry, bias, and racism that is hidden from me, by me. I won't point out that has to work both ways if such a thing exists. But moving on, because that unknown bias and bigotry and racism DOES exist, the African Americans feel they should get special deals.
Not correct, and if it is, show it to me. In the meantime, for that small and very vocal African American minority that fan those flames of bigotry and bias, stuff it.
You don't like my classical music? You are allowed to have preferences and if you are not allowed preferences, we need to change this government very, very quickly. |

black people dont want you to look at color. but its exactly what they do when they dont get what they want which is a handout. they use there color to get jobs and they use there color when they get fired. they are guilty of the same thing they acuse others of doing thats why they will never FEEL free even though they are. |

Im wondering the same thing myself! What more do they want?I know there are some barriers that exsist we all know that! But there are barriers for many other people too! To hear black people talk they are the only ones discriminated against the only ones who have the poor! Its kind of like having to hear about the holocaust over and over and over again! Ok ok we know it was a terrible injustice ok we have heard all about it over and over and over! WE GET IT!! Now its up to you to MOVE ON with your lives and GET OVER IT!! |

Now this is a great question!!! My family wasn't even here when the Americans had slaves. My family never had a slave why should I bear this cross and pay the price of something that happened 500 years ago?? I think if you take a good look at what that pastor from Harlem was saying you may find a real good answer to this question. Harsh yes but I really think he has some valid points!!! Now that we know some of the problems welfare affirmative action things that oppress blacks and hold them back maybe we can make a change. Lets start by getting rid of the real problem that being the Left and more government. I don't know about you but I do a good job at spending my own money I don't need more government taking more of it to sit and talk about stupid stuff. Sooooo cant we all just get along??? |

Dear confused person,
Most of the African-American population is not like that. That is how the mediaa wants to portray us. There are a lot of hardworking African-Americans who wish people like you stop classifying us this way.Like me! If you need a better explanation, follow the rules for Chris Rock in "bigger and Blacker"(I think)
There are two types of African Americans, blacks... and ****@s!
I think the angry resentment comes from the latter,

As long as the media keeps getting ratings and selling papers. If the media would report the news from both sides then people would see things are not as bad as they say it is.
I work with 500 people of all races, there are the blacks who work as hard as anyone else and have to do the same things as the rest of us for promotions and raises, then there are the small fraction who cry racism every time a white person advances in a job. They want the company to give them the job or the raise but they don't want to work for it. Then the company will promote one of the blacks that are part of the ones who are complaining just to shut them up for awhile.
Most of the black that I work with just want to be treated the same as everyone else and so do the Spanish, the whites. but there are the few who are the loudest that want to be treated special because of their skin color. |

Ignorance starts at home! African Americans are africans who came to the US and became naturalized citizens!
Why the hell does everything have to end in color! If you're born here, you are AMERICAN! Period! Why are we always having race wars over ignorance. If everyone was educated properly...we wouldn't even be in this discussion! |

Anybody who is prejudged regardless of race or creed is going to feel resentment. Don't you feel resentful about conclusions that are drawn about yourself from people who have no knowledge about you at all? Do you like being the target of bigotry? Bigotry begets bigotry; the world would be a much better place if we practiced the Golden Rule "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" |

Maybe the situation would improve if we all stop trying to group all black people into one neat little package. The African American community is just as diverse in thought as any other community. And, if I was black, I'd get pretty fed up with having my character questioned by those who only saw me as a "black" person. |
