How long should it take for my Husband to get his residence permit + work visa?

I submitted immigration papers for my husban last month, how long will it take for him to get called and get finger printed, I know that once he gets finger printed he gets his work permit.
But how long will it take for him to get an appointment?
Additional Details
Im In Los Angeles CA and my husband did not enter with a Visa, but he did apply before and he qualifies under the 245-I law.

It depends on the office - some process many more people than others. My first husband's (in Houston) took about 8 weeks, I think. But again, it can vary greatly. What office/city are you in? |

Mailed off papers via Fedex Jan 12, received at Chicago office Jan 14, checks cashed Jan 21, notice of action letters received Jan 24, biometrics appointment letter received Jan 29, appointment Feb 10. |
