Well, if we had a legal channel to allow immigration from neighbors the number would be zero. We need to start really thinking about immigration in common sense approach. For example, would you rather want 10,000 Somalia’s or 10,000 Mexicans?
My opinion rather give Mexicans work visas because they will likely go home after working a while, and they understand American culture far better than immigrants from the middle east.
First illegal that are from non-bordering countries should be deported. Second, H2b and H2c programs should be abolished.
Third, need immigration preference system for Latin America, and UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Philippines.
Finally, other than any nations listed above should have to be super skilled to get in and prove they can provide an economic benefit to America.
The reality is American immigration system does not make logical sense. First, ban lottery system it’s based on luck rather than skill.
Get rid of the Family Preference system for immigration. Then ban anchor babies, and use of government services to any illegal immigrant.
Make visa holders get bonded for a visa to work in America to ensure that if they use goverment social services the bond is invalidated, and there deported as soon as legally possible. Illegal workers from Mexico, UK, Australia, Canada, NZ, and Philippines can stay if they can prove there income is 125% above poverty level, and pay back taxes. Illegal workers from China, India, Somalia, other nations should be deported as soon as possible. We invited PhD terrorists easier than fruit pickers, plumbers, and carpenters. |
