How many of you actually VOTE?

A lot of people will sit here or there and spit out their political view and try to push their views upon others .. but do you ACTUALLY vote? (I know the illegals don't get to!)

I know this probably should fall under the category election, however I'd like to see if those of you on here in the immigration ctgry will actually do something about the hoppers?

lostnkhaos: I am not ignorant nor arrogant. I will sprout my views and listen to the opposing taking in what knowledge is necessary so the words that speak with will become wiser. I will never block another's view unless it's idiotic/lacks sense OR I've heard it before and I don't want to hear it again. It's US soil baby. Let's keep it that way. Don't come running through my back yard and demanding rights. It's my house and you came in illegally. My parents came about it right, they're now hard working citizens and my mother did not plant 'anchor babies' then cry to stay. She earned it though classes & finally tests. Beeeeeeeaatch!

I vote for every election held, local, state, federal, primary, etc.

I feel it is not only an honor to vote but also our duty as fellow citizens.

As for doing something about the "hoppers" I own a company that builds technology for the Border. I'm trying to do whatever I can to make sure we are ALL secure in this country. And I mean all people no matter what color or religion or background.

This is not a racial issue like everyone on the "let em in" side tries to make it. There are quite a few countries that prison people who do not enter legally. We're too soft.

I vote so I can justify what I say about our government after the polls have closed and I'm dealing with it for 4 more years. If I didn't vote, I would keep my mouth shut as I would have no room to speak!

I've voted in every election since turning 18... Over 30 years, including when I was stationed overseas. Voting is not only a right, it's your responsibility as a citizen.

Why does it seem to surprise you that illegals can't vote? They are illegal after all.

I vote, I have voted in every presidentual election since 1968 and I do not think that I have missed a congressional election either, that is how I retain my right to bitach

Me, in every state, local, and national election and primary since 1984. Voted for 5 different parties over the course of my life, also.

You say illegals don't vote - oh how I wish that were true! During most of the demonstrations there was someone from LaRaza to register people to vote....the illegals have a lot at stake. If they work on stolen documents why wouldn't they register to vote with them...you & I both know they were not questioned about the documents!

I called the Secretary of the State, Elections Division in Texas and tried to question how they planned to prevent voter fraud...the 1st person hung up on me, the second tried to get me to call the attorney general, the third informed me there were no laws against it...another slap in the face for middle-class Americans!

So yes I not only vote - I question, write, call, email and on & on & on...... I try to spend at least 1-1/2 to 2 hours per day doing what I can to stop this traversity of justice!

oh, and if someone doesn't want to vote, then i think they're expressing their opinion by not. that's fine with me. if you had to pay a fine for not voting, it would no longer be a priviledge, now would it? it would be a requirement. it's their right not to.

The only time I missed a vote, Pete Wilson got elected as governor of california. It took a life time to get him out, but I never missed a vote since then. If my vote has any say this time Arnold will be out.

i had the pleasure of visiting the us this past week, while there i was in Birmingham Alabama were i visited the civil right museum i took my vote for granted having lived in the bahama all my life not having to actually fight for the right to vote or to an education. i was moved to tears when i saw the actual footage and history being displayed right before my eyes. i believe that every american should embrace this oppertunity to express themselfes through the ballot, other countries do it through the bullet. MY ONLY DISPLEASURE WITH THE VOTING IN AMERICA IS THAT THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY SEEMS TO TAKE THE BLACK VOTE FOR GRANTED .I believe that all persons of colour should vote for the candidate based on there record and not on there party affiliation. my freind said that they would vote democrat even if they were a demon,i just thought it shallow and i believe the democrats capitalise on this and do not give the minority voters there fair shake as it relates to actually campainning to there views and needs.

i'm only 16, but I am going to study up on the political canidates. I feel if you can vote you should people worked way too hard to earn that right for poeple to completely blow it off!
