you would think that rule of law would be standard everywhere. a nice thing they have done is to have somebody from ICE stationed at their jail. I think that should be everywhere. |

WONDERFUL!!! Its about time that people start standing up to the law breakers, including President Obama. Start giving fines to company's that hire illegals.

Just a drop in the bucket, but a move in the right direction nevertheless! Because it's only a drop of sanity, I have to see it as symbolic more than anything else - even with the hopeful sting of full enforcement. Only symbolic, however, because the nation needs to stand together as a whole for the rule of law in order for this move to mean anything. But, who knows?

it's about time we all jump up and take the stance.
Arizona is going to make the illegals move north and then the midwest will be flooded with them even moreso than now.
So once we all jump on this bandwagon then the problem is well on its way to securing the border in a different manner than the huge fence that doesn't work |

I figured a Texas town would have followed suit with immigration enforcement next not one in liberal Cali. I'm a bit shocked but not completely surprised. If it had been San Francisco though I would have died right here and now from a heart attack. |

I live in Los Angeles and am happy to see a little hope. I am all for LEGAL immigration and humane treatment of people but this town is in bad shape.
I think if these folks were chanting "we want to be Americans" waving American flags instead of "Si se puede" waving Mexican flags I would feel more compassion. The politics and demands for law breakers baffles me. They should be begging for mercy not spitting in the eyes of citizens and calling them racists. Lord have mercy. |
