I'm a vegetarian, I promise not to eat any turkey if you promise to stop asking stupid questions that aren't relevant to political topics. |

I can understand Native Americans boycotting an event that essentially began the eradication of their race - but it is a far cry for the Mexicans to use this as a viable reason. If it is because they are once again standing against the American way perhaps they should go back to Mexico - I have nothing against immigrants just those who despise the country that provides them a home.
If this were Mexico and a bunch of Immigrants from America were acting out their butts would be in jail or worse. |

Since Thanksgiving is an American Holiday, I really expect that only American will be observing the day. Mexico has their own holidays. |

Hmmm... I guess I will have to boycott Cinco De Mayo, and Festival de San Isador, and maybe even Natalicio de Benito Juarez.
I'm going to miss those margaritas, but one has to take a stand. |

Who really celebrates Thanksgiving for the meaning of the indians and pilgrims reuniting. Thanksgiving is a holiday that we thank God that we are alive, we have food to eat, and health. Boycott is when Rosa Parks wouldn't leave the front of the bus because she felt as an equal and was. Mexicans are equals. They are humans too. And since we live in the richest country it bothers me that Americans would degrade poorer countries when our troops are not even home with their families and in another poorer country. God bless our troops. |

Cinco De Mayo is not even a major Mexican Holiday they even celebrate like the Americans do. Its a holiday to eat Latin food and drink alcohol in the USA. Why would a Mexican boycott thanksgiving? They know it was a meal between the Indians and the Pilgrims and the invaders never left after that. |

I don't think to many...the salvation army Turkey Day Station in my neighborhood was flooded with them. OK...maybe some of them were PR'icans too. Point is it doesn't seem like they are. |

I am not a recent immigrant, but I do understand your frustration and the idea you are trying to convey. Thanksgiving day has lost the concept as a day of recognition for immigrates that were once warmly received and welcomed into the United States. The idea was first conceived as a day to commemorate the first aliens, Pilgrims, that stepped foot on the already populated shores of North America. With the strong anti-immigration sentiments that prevails in the United States, it is completely understandable that Thanksgiving has long lost it significance. But just think of it as "turkeyday", a day off from work, inexpensive turkeys at the markets that make great ethnic cuisine, and a chance to spend some time with the family. Pamela, have a great "turkeyday"! |

I am not Mexican and I am going to boycott thanksgiving! With what this adminstration has gotten us in Iraq, I don't see any reason to be thankful for like the pilgrims back then. |
