but how do you know that if you built a church that you would be killed have you tried to do this.

And if they wish to build a place of worship, why not? if they are paying their taxes like everyone else in this country,are English people the only ones allowed to have a faith and place to worship this faith?

Totally agree - don't mind them coming over but Our country Our ways. Don't like it then you know where the "doors" are! Like you say, if we went over to their country and started treating it as England they'd soon have something to say!!

thats why they leave their country, people get killed for stupid reasons. Anybody can come here and do as they please unless it breaks a law, or they are illegal immigrants which breaks laws but does not matter for some reason. Who cares if they build places of worship, as long as their place of worship does not support terrorism or Al Sharpton

The right to freedom of religion is one of the wonderful things about this country. It is a right many people in other countries do not have and many do die trying to worship in ways they believe. I am not concerned about people's choice of religion (or choice not to follow any religion) as long as they are here legally and are law abiding citizens. It is one of the reasons many people chose to be here. I do however have a problem with people who want to come here (legally or not) and want to destroy us in the name of religion...these are not law abiding citizens and that is a different issue.

I know what you mean. I went on holiday to Egypt and visited a mosque and I had to cover my head, even though I'm a white British woman.

I think, like a lot of people I suppose, that we should be looking after our own people before we help other countries. Yes, some countries are in a terrble state, and yes, it is a shame for the people living there. But when so many of our own are living in squalor or on the streets, we should be getting their lives back on track first, then help other countries if we have anything left; I'm not saying we shouldn't help other countries at all. How many other nations put foreigners before their own people? We don't get any thanks for it, we're just taken for granted.

What really annoys me are the minority of Muslims who live in England ( "minority of" meaning, I know it is a minority of Muslims who think this, NOT that I think Muslims are a minority) but want to set about destroying it. If you don't like our country, go somewhere else, we're not forcing you to stay if you think we're so bad. (of course, that's right, you wouldn't get in anywhere else so easily.)

I am English and feel betrayed by the Govt. I feel betrayed that they have allowed this once great country to become a dumping ground. It is easy to feel like a foreigner in a foreign land in some parts of Britain today but watch it, you can't say things like that. Look at all the other answers you get, They will all gang up and snide on you holding up the rule book of life - I say b0ll0cks, things in life go by cycles at the moment this is their cycle, one day it will change just remember you are not alone there are many of us with you... just bidding our time, waiting.

Most importantly is the fact that our country is too small to accommodate more people whatever the race. The British are also not racist, just concerned about our children's future and I'm sure the ethnic minority, who've been here for generations, feel just the same

I know what you mean. We are constantly being pushed around like a bag of potatoes. And we can't say anything about it because that will politically incorrect. What rubbish! It seems that mosques can go wherever they want, but when a church wants to be built, we have to be careful that having a church there and celebrating Christmas won't offend anybody.

I am totally sick of it too. Those who appear on television with banners bearing slogans against this country should be thrown in prison. I'd like to know what we are going to do about it all and when?

Two wrongs dont make a right. Hopefully their country will become as charitable and democratic as us one day. Be thankful that we live in a country where we can welcome and enjoy different cultures and religions, instead of having one forced down our throats.

I have no problem with foreigners/immigrants/ coming over to this country to work or study as long as they abide by our customs and way of life and integrate. I feel that we have let too many in and we are becoming very overcrowded. I think that as this is a Christian country there shouldn't be any mosques built or muslim teaching in our schools as this is creating segragation also western dress should be worn, after all we would have to cover up if we went to a muslim country and finally anyone found to be involved with any kind of terrorist activity should be immediately deported and never allowed to return to this country!

It is neither racist nor arrogant to DEMAND that anyone who wishes to immigrate (legally) to the USA should be expected to learn English and blend in with our melting pot society. Multicultural bs is just that: BS!

What has happened over the last few decades, however, are otherwise well meaning liberals pandering for votes by instituting multi-lingual ballots, for instance, which has caused most immigrants - particularly Latinos - to be lazy about learning English and expecting us to learn their language.

I agree whole heartedly with your paragraph & I bet there was a lot you wanted to say but because of restrictions you have had to contain your wording?As our country changes with more & more people from other countries coming here to live & we who seem to be in the minority accept their position here it is difficult to see how we can change the situation without getting hauled up before government for being classed as racist or whatever? I expect long after I am pushing up daises some Government in power will realise just what is happening here & have the guts to do something about it.

I live in Texas. We have the same problem with the Mexican illegal immigrants here, except that they are Roman Catholic. Roman Catholicism does not teach Jihad. Therefore we do not have to worry about them blowing up subways, etc.

My ancestry is English /French, and when I see what is happening in both France and England, I get angry at the stupidity of both governments, that they do not shut the doors, and keep those North African Islamic people out.

We as Anglos have to stand up for ourselves. We can not allow just any culture and religion, regardless of their beliefs, into our countries. We are giving up our birthrights. We are giving up our souls.

I don't mind, what I do mind is that illegals are sending most of there money back to Mexico for their families, and what I do mind is that most of the workers in Michigan do not speak English,at the vegetable processing plants, which makes it hard on us, this is America, where we speak English. Another thing I don't like is that we have Spanish and Chinese channels, why?, and why should we have to pay for them? I don't feel good.

I agree with you. I have no problems with them coming over, as long as they work and abide by our laws. It annoys me that we are letting anyone in and housing them, feeding them etc and that they dont appreciate it, in fact they expect it and want more! But if they came over here and worked, respected us then i would have no problems with them being here.

That's our Goverment for you, I don't like it one bit that this happens, We are American's born and raised here and like a sign I read Bought and paid for by American's what I don't like is that people come from other country's can come here and get anything they want, the goverment gives them money to open a business, gives them a free place to live, a car and don't have to pay one red cent of that back, and they don't have to pay taxes for the first 5 yrs they are here and I think that is truely wrong.
