A major problem in America today is the willingness to accuse anyone of racism that doesn't agree with you or give you your own way.

The answer is that it's not hiding racists.

I'm not a racist. I hate everyone equally! Just teasing. I don't understand why anyone would be labeled a racist for supporting a bill that already exists at the federal level. Perhaps we should instead call all of our government offices that failed and continue to fail to enforce our laws incompetent. I personally don't feel you are a racist if you support this law. However i do know you are a criminal if you enter this country illegally.

Probably quite a few, but that doesn't mean it's not a good bill. I support getting rid of illegal immigrants. I'm not a racist, I'm actually part of a minority group but all my family members who were not born here, came here LEGALLY. They spent a lot of time, money, and effort to do it but they did it the legal way and now they are proud Americans who will fight for this country. I still love Palestine and will always consider myself to be an Arab, but I will never forget that I'm an American! God bless the USA!!

SB 1070 must not be racist then, since it does not override or supersede Federal law. The law enforcement officers in Arizona are trained in enforcing the law.

Should non-Federal police stop arresting drug smugglers, since that is covered under Federal Import and drug laws?

Federal law is primary in bank robberies too, so should local police ignore bank robberies?

So Bank robbery laws and smuggling laws are also racist?

BTW: One difference between the Federal laws and the new Arizona State law is that the Arizona law PROHIBITS racial profiling, whereas the Federal law permits racial profiling.

The bill becomes racist at the State level because states do not have the authority to override or supersede Federal laws, they are also not properly trained, nor have the experience or knowledge... that is why it is a law of the Federal Gvmnt, not the State level to uphold.
