They should be deported as soon as possible after discovery of their illegal status (within 1 week). Actually, I wish the government would put a ban on all immigration for at least 2 years. I, and many of my fellow citizens are beginning to feel like we are the foreigners! THERE ARE TOO MANY PEOPLE HERE ALREADY! The whole world can't live here. I live in a senior building subsidized by HUD and we are slowly being overrrun by elderly Russian and Chinese people, with their rents being subsidized by the American taxpayers. Then they go on Medicaid for cheap health care, also courtesy of the taxpayers. These people contribute nothing but their presence. They don't even shop in American stores; they have private buses to take them to their ethnic shops. The first thing they learn is how to milk the system. Meanwhile older American taxpayers have to wait for years to get a rent-subsidized apartment. Politicians don't care because most of them are very wealthy and don't have to live with or near them.

I agree with you on that. If they want to make themselves legal then let them stay, but they are spending the U.S. tax payers money.
And to the guy that says we are all immigrants, YEAH are ancestors were immigrants but THEY WEREN'T ILLEGAL!!!!
Most of uor ancestors migrated here when there were no laws against immigration!!!! That was when they were trying to build this country!!! Think back to history class people!!! I asked a question once that suggested that we send an amazing coalition of "our brightest intellectual, military, agriculture and humanitarian minds to work in Mexico for a year". I got shot down.

I found that jawdropping. We whine and use exclamation points BUT if we do that shouldn't we have a back up BESIDES shoot them. I'm also TIRED, of having to pay for their medical bills, while I'm here with a danm e.r. bill for $900 due to the fact that I couldn't go to the free clinic here, due to the danm ILLEGALS!!! Oh how WE HAVE TO FEED THEM, CLOTHED THEM, EDUCATE THEM, AND PAY FOR THEIR MEDICAL BILLS!!! While the rest of us, are barely making it!!! Ileana- Many ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS pay taxes if they have a STOLEN or FORGED Soc. Sec.card, then they pay on only the part they report, many times they get paid in cash for part of it and don't report it. By doing that they look as though they have a very 'low' income and then they get food stamps, subsidized housing, AFDC (welfare check) and free or low cost medical care. All paid for by our taxes. And they haven't been paying into the system, and they aren't even suppose to BE HERE!! They are CRIMINALS!! That is why they are called "ILLEGAL" IMMIGRANTS.. Are you even aware of their plans to try to take over the Southwest? Do you even realize they are infiltrating our cities, towns and communities to breed like rabbits and become the majority so they can vote MEXICAN leaders into our political offices? Do you want to live in a country that is in economic ruin? Do you want to live in country that is soon to be just like the filthy, dust bowl called Mexico? I don't believe that there should be just a total amnesty granted to illegal immigrants in this country, but the ones that are here now should be allowed to apply for citizenship if they can meet certain criteria: That they've been here and working for 2 or 3 years, haven't committed any crimes, and have learned the basics for citizenship, such as English and knowledge of U.S. history and political science (basically government classes, for those of you reading this still in school).

Immigrants pay taxes just like everyone else. They don't mooch if anything regular Americans mooch. You complain about no unions, but don't even organize your own unions. Immigrants come hear for that "America Dream" to feed their families,get educations,shelter, all the necessities of live. I feel bad because they are all wasting there time. "Americans" don't even receive education, food, or shelter here. America has the balls to complain about immigrants, when America is the source of the immigrants. They take their land, and resources causing them to move to "higher ground". You complain there are no jobs because of immigrants, when you should be complaining to the corporate monsters. They take companies to these third world countries and pay them pennies an hour for their labor. See its cheaper to higher them then to have to pay us 6 bucks an hours and benefits.These are nothing, but examples of common sweat jobs and slavery.So don't complain that "illegal Immigrants" are the problem. Complain to these monster corporations, and the new slave owners who rip the "American People" and Workers of the world off. Also the only reason "Mexicans" account for most illegal immigrants is because they are right by the boarder. I don't hear anyone complain about the others from different countries that come here illegally. Then again I can understand this is another technique for racism.
