What country's fiance visa are you applying for, and what foreign country is the fiance coming from? If, for example, a US citizen is applying for a fiance visa for someone who is a UK citizen, it might take only 6 - 9 months to get the visa, but if applying for someone from Philippines (which has the world's highest rate of marriage fraud), it could take 12-18 months to get the visa, if at all.
How did you meet? How long have you been together and where? Does the fiance have sufficient income & assets to support the person they are applying for, and can they readily prove that ability to support? Lots of variables, therefore hard to predict time frames and probability of acceptance. |

It depends on from what country your fiancee is coming from. There are months and months of investigation required before one is issued. |

It really depends on where your fiance(e) files the K-1, and how fast that Service Center is adjudicating petitions.
I filed for my fiance at California Service Center in February and our petition was approved by USCIS in March, but that is NOT the norm; we were expecting to wait a lot longer. It is the end of April now, and my fiance just returned Packet 3 (forms) to the U.S. Embassy in London.
We expect to receive Packet 4 - which will have his interview date - by mid-late May, and project June to be the month for his interview (we're hoping for May).
Typical wait from filing to interview is 6 months, but we know our wait will be shorter - we've been VERY fortunate. I can also tell you that there are couples who filed before us - WAY before us - and are still waiting for their petitions to be approved by USCIS.
