How much money do we need to have in the bank to get fiance visa?

To show them that we won't need the public fund how much money should I have in the bank accounts to show them we are not broke jokes?

You don't have to submit a copy of bank deposits if you have a stable job and your annual income is or above the 125% of Poverty Line which satisfies the requirement in supporting a spouse.Bank deposits and property ownership can help if you are lacking in your annual income from a regular job.I went through my K-1 visa by just submitting the recent ITR and Employment Certificate of my husband.We had the bank deposits and deed in the house ready though in case they ask for it which they never did.

If the question is asked appertaining to a Fiance Visa for the Uk then.You will have to show a healthy Bank or B/Society deposits in order to keep the Girl until you marry.Maybe 3 or 4 grand would suffice.But equally Important is where you wil live and does it satisfy Immigration.Each case is taken on its merits and no hard and fast rule applies.But you must not take anything for granted and prepare the Documents in accordance with Immigration policy.

You have to make more than 125% above poverty line. This mean that your income must be more than $18,000 per year. You don't need to show any bank account, they will ask the W2 forms from the last three years and list properties if any.

My partner is from Nicaragua. I am from the US. what if you have no W2s for the last year? because you have been living abroad with your partner. the year before I only made 7,000 and the year before 15,000. Am I going to be denied?
