YES IT MATTERS!!!! you need to renew ASAP. $370 (form I-90). to renew. just make sure you need to renew your green card and not to remove the conditions (that is if you had a two year card Form I-751) on it bcos that is different.

If your green card has already expired, you may not be able to renew it. You will have to convince immigration that you had a really god reason for missing the deadline to renew.
