Hi guys, I am a structural engineer from India holding a valid Indian passport. I would like to work in European countries and for that I came to know that I am gonna need a valid work permit first. So , please let me know how to get work permit for European Union. Thanks in advance.

The European Union (EU) still consists of 27 [and not more] independent member countries which have their own requirements for work permits. Although tourist visa are issued valid for 22 EU countries which adhere to the Schengen Acquis and for Iceland, Norway, and Switzerland, the issue of work permits and long term stay visa is subject to the discretion of each individual EU country. To tell you the truth, unless you are a highly qualified specialist in an area which is looked for on the European labor market, your chances to get a working visa are almost at zero. Before EU companies may instate a non-EU citizen they have to justify that they were unable to fill their vacancies with national or EU job seekers;.almost impossible at the nowadays job market situation.

I think the best way is going to the embassy and ask there they will help u way better than us. |

Pom Cool there are 28 countries in the EU. Each of these countries have their own rules about visa and work permit, citizenship's etc. |
