That might depend on why you didn't put her on your papers. It would also depend on how you got your immigration papers to begin with. What sort of immigrant visa did you have when you entered the US, or did you adjust status while in the US? If you came in on an immigrant visa category that allows for dependent children, then maybe your child could come to the US as a follow to join. However, if you came in on an immediate relative petition, then a new petition would need to be filed for your child. If you came in under the Diversity Visa program then you'll have all sorts of problems, as the child may no longer be eligible to come in on a Diversity Lottery vis. If so, you may have to petition the child yourself, which will take a very long time. considering that you didn't mention your own child when you were processed, they may have considerable doubt that this is indeed your child. If so, they may ask you to do a DNA test to prove it. |

There is no way. Immigration papers have to be handed in a port of arrival. If she comes in illegally she will be deported. |
