How to immigrate to america from england?

hi im not really asking for the details but more whether it would be possible and a likley chance and if there was any thing i could do to be more desired ect.

i dont plan on trying to immigrate any time soon but would like to do so in the future, i am going to uni next year to get a degree (dunno if that helps)..., and would be aiming to get a job in america, (not dos around).

btw i dont have any relatives in America presently ect and would like to immigrate after uni, and would get a job. i am asking this question so early, to ensure that if i did want to immigrate i can and would be gutted if i found out i couldnt due to something unexpected.

If I could i'd trade passports with you. You need to have a spouse here or apply for a student visa which eventually (takes years) can earn you residency here.

The first thing that I would do is check the professions currently in demand here and professions that will likely be in demand in the furore. It would help that the skills you acquire are transportable. Since you will be going to university soon, if it works for you get the degree that will be in demand in the future and will work anywhere in the world. Make sure you are also in the top field of your profession. Companies in the US as well as other first world countries like diversity so if you have a strong resume, then you can expect to be hired.

Since you do not have family here, your ticket to adjusting your status would be to be sponsored by a company here then from there you can apply for your green card then from there work towards your citizenship. A lot of nurses and engineers from other countries do this.

Try getting a foreign exchange placement while in university, and then see if you can get an internship with a company here. That gets your foot in the door.

The US State Department website has all the information you need about immigrating.

The big thing is getting an education. The job market shrank by 700,000 last year for people without a degree, and grew by 1.2million for those with degrees.

you'll have to apply for a student visa. while your at it ask about working. and why would you want to come here? we are not doing so well. our govt has lost their minds.

I thought that England in all its liberalism was a paradise, with all the universal health care etc etc. and American was a racist cooperate pigsty.... please educate me..but I would welcome you gladly ... and send the one who wants to trade you passports packing.
