Actually as you are so evidently bereft of education I will tell you. While building the wall they became quite xenophobic and isolationist. The wealthy horded thier wealth while the poor grew poorer. Famine struck and a rebellion ensued, supported by those the great wall was designed to keep out. The Ming dynasty fell in 1644 while still building the wall rather than focussing on internal problems and embracing neighbours.

and all the mexicans I know are the opposite of lazy. They are hardworkers here to make a better life for themselves and their families and often times work 2 jobs and work 90 hour work weeks or 18 hour days. You should give these men & women your respect for working so hard instead of calling them lazy. The government should issue temporary work visas so those coming to work in the US will still have to pay taxes etc.

I understand your plight. Try living in the UK. We're being over-run with them (Eastern 'Europeans not mexicans). And although I'm sure there are hard workers, it's odd that all the areas where we are worse off than 20 years ago are the areas with a massive immigrant workforce.

Actually, the majority of immigrants, even the illegals, are better educated than those left behind, which is a large part of the problem: the people left in Mexico are less educated and intelligent, exasperating the problems in Mexico.
All we have to do is to ENFORCE EXISTING LAWS (see American Legion, October 2007). Quit giving illegals more benefits than Americans get.

You better be tired of sick Mexicans coming to the U.S., too. I understand that they are coming in here for cancer treatments and surgeries paid for by the U.S. taxpayer. We need to build the fence and it should be a double fence. Razor wire on the top just like a prison. Then if anyone gets over one fence, when they are between the fences, the border guards should shoot to kill. Then the body is placed in a portable cremetory. Just shooting and burning and dumping the ashes. Then begin kicking out the illegals that are drug dealers, gang members and criminals in our prisons. Then begin sifting through the rest. There would be a 90 moratorium on all illegals then which would give them all time to sell all possessions and go back to Mexico. If they are still here and they are illegal, all property and monies would be confiscated and sold on auction. All monies added to the U.S. treasury and then they would be kicked over the fence with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Anyone agree?
