You will have no problem. Most Americans are nothing like the negative people who might answer your question here. At the university, you will have lots of people who want to learn about your country and your language. It will be fun! |

You'll be very welcomed by most people. The US is a country filled with people with all different kinds of backgrounds, so you'll fit in very well! I'm Romanian, so I fit in well with all English speaking people, but I also fit in well with people that speak Romanian. Speaking 3 languages, you should be able to get along well with many different people! Hope you have a good trip, and when you get here, WELCOME!! |

Very welcome. You seem sophisticated, motivated, and curious. You are also European so that is good. And you are legal. And that is good also. Welcome! |

Come here legally; speak our language fluently; work and pay taxes; don't drain our systems; learn, adapt to, and RESPECT our culture; and don't expect handouts because you're from another country. Follow these guidelines and I welcome you. Oh, and please, if you get a driver's liscence... know how to drive safely. |

I don't think you'll have any problem at all. If you get any problems, you're probably just getting it from the losers that give EVERYONE problems.... Don't worry about them. You seem extremely interesting and that will carry alot of weight. I don't think you'll have problems getting dates either haha.
Don't listen to the nay sayers like the person saying we're in the middle of a civil war, thats just nonsense.
I have been to many countries and although I've fell in love with alot of those countries nowhere else compares to the U.S.
Welcome! and I hope you enjoy your stay! |

Chances are good that no one will notice you. If you land in New York City, the chances are most people will ignore you. |

Why, do you smell bad or something? |

If you are white, not Hispanic, know the system of measures used in the U.S. (pounds, inches, feet, miles, ounces, etc.), and speak English, no one will suspect that you are not American unless they check your identification or you have a foreign accent. |

If you are illegal, YOU WILL NOT BE WELCOME. More power to ya if you can do things right and obey the laws of the U.S. |

Yes, I think you will be pleasantly surprised by regular people especially if your going to a small town or rural area. Big cities such as Chicago & New York can be difficult at times. Be sure you have an up to date passport and/or visa, and other documentation and identification required by customs or immigration agencies on both sides of your trip, (coming & going back). |

America is an immigrant country starting with the Indians. No humans evolved here. America is a country of law. Follow the law and you are welcomed. My wife and daughter are recent immigrants and love it here. They have many friends and feel totally "American" even though they have heavy accents. They are legal. It took them years to get their visas and green cards. Come here legally and follow our laws and you will become a part of the fabric of America. You don't even have to speak English. |

Americans will treat you depending of the way you look.
Americans are very scare of people that have more culture than them. They will treat you okay, but always watch your back. The US is getting polarized by racial profile, white vs blacks, white vs mexicans, white vs asians, white vs europeans. Just be polite and don't show that you are smart. They hate that!!! |

Oh, good you aren't Mexican (or any other race that may be confused with Mexican.) You don't speak Spanish do you? Or enjoy Mexican food? As long as you do not do any of the above you should probably be welcomed with open arms |

You sound like a very nice well-educated person. This country is on the brink of a civil war so I would stay where you are. |
