Amnesty this time around will kill America.We just can not cope with all the numbers from the last amnesty.They have been pouring over the border even more knowing that Obama will more than likely give it to them.
What have Americans always done when faced with a problem?They invent something.If we need fruit pickers and the greedy business man can not hire a illegal to do slave work for slave wages and would have to hire a American to do it.He would invent a machine to do it but hire the skilled people at fair wage to build it and operate it and maintain it.

as for the question: amnesty will not benefit the country in our current state i agree.

we need immigration reform...and we need the one that are here, paying taxes or get em out..(enforce the tax evasion laws that apply to the employers please! )

That's just it, amnesty will not benefit Americans! All we're going to have is more people legally sponging off the system. These illegals will be receiving SS benefits when they have not paid into them. Giving amnesty does not solve anything. Then in another 10-15 years we'll have the same issue once again.

i have to agree with logan on this...american people don't want amnesty it will not benefit america in the least we have proven that by granting amnesty before...didn't work..it just encouraged more illegals...we should fight amnesty tooth and nail in fact we should have completely closed borders until we figure out an effective plan for controlling illegals coming here and make more laws against employing them and how companies screen for them! that's the real problem!

first of all no one is proposing amnesty. what is up for debate is a PATH to LEGALIZATION. path meaning there are certain things you must do in order to be legalized. legalized meaning you do not get automatic citizenship. there ar fundamental differences between path to legalization and amnesty.
also no ones is asking for an Unlimited guest worker program so im going to need for you to cite you so called information next time,

how will it benefit americans? well with a legalization program there will be a hefty fine which will generate revenue. when they are given their conditional status they will be able to function fully in our society and economy. this means they will be eligible to purchase their own health insurance, so no more burden on emergency rooms. it also means that they will not be exploitable by employers and can demand fair wages. when people have more money they spend more. and when people spend more businesses expand and are able to hire more workers to meet the expansion.

this is why a path to legalization is beneficial. and plan that deports persons out of the country will cost us money and makes no sense when our population is aging and many people will be retiring out of the workforce. this means if they are not working they will be not contributing into social security, but taking out. so deporting workers is a bad idea when our social security system just this year gave out more money than was payed in. with the aging baby boomers retiring this discrepancy will only increase.
