They won't and do not. However, the corrupt Mexican govt. is responsible for the cesspool most of Mexico is. Mexico is a rich country, but it is only for the rich. They encourage their citizens to leach off the USA, because the govt. doesn't want to better the country AND, the money illegals send home makes up the 2nd largest source of income for Mexico. Big business, construction, any business that wants to pay low wages in the US at the expense of our citizens, also want them here.

Go to a border town and see how many kids cross the border into the US every morning to go to school here.

Very few people know the history of the Mexican People. They don't know about the violence.. the gangs.. the economics.. the homesteaders of the 1980's.

Mexico would have been very, very sucessful if they abondoned the Economic Trickle down theory, and adopted the Mexican Constitutional processes. And if they had done as the Constitution told them to do, national treasure.. which is to say mineral/oil wealth, would have been shared with all the people.

It wasn't. Corruption destroyed that money. Now they want the American Taxpayer to pick up the costs.

Joel W has pretty much said it all. There really isn't much the hard working people of Mexico who have sneaked across the boarder can add to the economy here. They take advantage of what is here to better their lives, at our expense. Sadly enough it is cause by greed and corruption in their own country, some of which was caused by those in this country.

They won't. They are not educated enough to see beyond their ways. They have overpopulated themselves and have not learned from past mistakes. Maybe religion and family are too important. I think we can learn something from them in terms of valuing family more. I can't behind the religion thing that much. I believe in science. We need to make them learn English. Communication is so important. They need help from English speaking people. It shouldn't be a choice. The choice was to come here in the first place. There are plenty of bilingual people. I want to learn to speak other languages. There is a lot of beauty there.

The simple answer is (believe it or not) American politicians care about people of all classes, and strive to improve the lives of all of them. Mexican politicians do nothing for the unemployed lower class. Some regions have 90% unemployment, with people living in garbage dumps scrounging for scrap metal and food to stay alive. You don't see that in the US. They let the problem get so bad that trying to fix it would be as difficult as stopping illegal immigration.

How can a lower class unemployed Mexican do anything to improve their country when they have no access to capital, and no ability to change anything? The only real option for improvement for many of them is to come to the US and work a menial job for $. They won't directly benefit, but most do it for their children. Trust me, several generations of illegal immigrant children would probably assimilate with the culture and eventually blend in as well as any legal hispanic citizen might.

Becuase these people come to the US for work, not for a free ride. They are going to do the jobs that we strive NOT to do. They will be migrant farmers, they will be the janitors, and that we strive to be above, they are fine with taking. Illegal immigrants can't AFFORD to come to the U.S. legally, maybe they don't have the money for the forms. The U.S. only allows so many LEGAL immigrants to come to the U.S. every year. These LEGAL AND ILLEGAL immigrants are just happy to be out of Mexico AND THE REST OF LATIN AMERICA. Culturally speaking, the illegal immigrants bring food, and other traditions from their country. In addition, they may be coming to the United States because they need medical help, and they may show us new strains or if not just help us medically more than the same gene pool we always have in the U.S.
