I've looked up the oncern website and other buyt there isnt much information at all, how exactly ould i be able to do this? I really really want to help out not just by giving donations. I wouldnt contact any charity as Im thinking of doing in a year or two once Im out of school

Before you consider volunteering in a Third World country, make sure that you have a marketable skill. If you have a degree in engineering, health, agriculture, or education, then things will be easier for you. Alternatively, if you have specific vocational skills such a carpentry or automobile mechanics, or have run a business your chances are still good. Speaking a second language is often necessary for some positions. The days of a BA generalist finding work overseas are numbered.
If you are a US citizen, Peace Corps is a good place to start looking. I am a former Peace Corps volunteer. You can also research the United Nations Volunteers, or UNVs. You usually have to have a few years of practical experience before they will consider you.
You should also look at NG0s (Non-Government Organizations). There are plenty of them around and many specialize in particular regions of the world or in certain technical areas. Some of the NGOs are also affiliated with churches.
