An illegal immigrant from Mexico with ties to a violent street gang who had been deported more than two years ago was arrested by officers from Immigration and Customs Enforcement at a Mesa residence on Friday, the agency announced Friday. Alan Dario Beltran-Sierra, 25, who was a known associate of the Los Compitas Mesa gang was encountered by police during a domestic violence dispute, and officers discovered him to be an illegal immigrant after submitting an immigration query to ICE databases, according to an ICE news release. Sadly this isn't uncommon. Our pansy politically correct government allows known illegal thugs to remain in this country, often in a sanctuary city despite their criminal past. Only when they kill a cop or another high-profile American does anyone stand up and take notice. The government allows the illegals to stay because they're a cheap source of labor for the big corps. that donate millions to political campaigns. This isn't a democracy, it's greedy capitalism at its worst.

A bullet would be much less expensive, and because he came back after being deported for a criminal act, he should be given his bullet between the eyes within an hour of his re-arrest.

I'd feel a lot better having one of them next door then someone that's part of the Aryan Brotherhood, KKK, or Hell's Angels. At least these guys only bother you if you get in their way, unlike the other gangs I mentioned that attack due to the color of your skin.

The typical propaganda from law enforcement is designed to stigmatize the gang by over exaggerating the extent to which the gang operates. Phrases like "violent foreign-born gang members" and "their behavior is often deadly" uses the fear card to gain public support for what ever law enforcement action is desired against the group. For years the FBI has been telling us that there exists parallels between 18th Street and international crime but many of those linkages have been overstated and just because the federal government says that 18th Street possesses weapons of mass destruction does not necessarily mean that it is true. United States Senator Dianne Feinstein published a report in 2003 which erroneously stated that 80 percent of the 18th Street gang in California consists of illegal immigrants.
