I am English and I moved to USA 7 years ago to marry my now husband..Due to the current economic climate we may be forced to file for bankruptcy BUT we plan on moving to England at some point...So I was wondering, would filing for bankruptcy over here affect my husbands chances of getting ILR???

I am in a similar situation. I am American and married to a British citizen. It is my understanding that British immigration will look into your finances as well as other things when you apply for ILR.
We will be going same route as you in a yr and a half, so I wish you the best of luck. Currently my husband is here in the states with a green card, but we can't wait to get the heck outta dodge. |
