How would you feel if you were a U.S. citizen traveling back from Mexico and you got locked up?

Lets say it was your honeymoon and you and wife are heading back from mexico, where you became very dark skinned. You get pulled over and you can not find your drivers lincense at that time in all of your luggage (but you do have it). You and your wife get pulled from your cars at gun point being accused of being illegal immigrants. How would you feel about this? Would you consider that racial profiling on the basis of because of your dark skin? Or would you totally agree with the fact that they jumped to conclusion and considered you an illegal mexican b/c of your skin color.

I would find that very ironic, ....and call my mother-in-law to come pick me up, she lives in Mexico City. Oh yeah baby, I got the connections.

OF COURSE ITS RACIAL PROFILING!!! It's just that, well, noone cares about THAT race, every other race is good to go.

It's been all over the news NOT to go to Mexico. They warned College students not to go on spring break there.
What part of that don't you understand?
Racial profiling needs to happen. Blue-eyed blondes are seldom strapping on bombs or smuggling cocaine.

Regardless of the implication that you got this really dark tan while there, you should NOT have gone to that specific foreign country to begin with. It's a dangerous place to avoid and you risked safety of BOTH of you to probably get a cheap vacation rate.

Consider the border security a success. They're going after illegals. Would you get a tan & wear a turban and pick a Middle Eastern country to visit? NO??? How come?
Maybe because it's risky??

They would search your luggage, find your ID and you'd be let go. I'd go away feeling that our border patrol did their job, and I'd rather be inconvenienced for not being smart enough to have my ID available than to have more murderers, rapists, pedophiles and drug dealers let into the country.

I would kick my own butt for being so incrediably stupied. And when I suggested racism for being very dark skinned, I would hope the Lord arrived on the end of a lightening bolt and ended my pitiful, and racist, life.

Folks.. if you go to the border.. particularly Customs.. you discover the people running the show are, very frequently... Mexican Americans.

Because of the obvious problem with illegal aliens from MX I would definitely make sure I had my papers in order before I tried to cross the border. Otherwise I'd have no one to blame but myself and the illegal aliens who created this mess in the first place.

Just look at the positive of the situation. At least now you know how many minorities are treated by certain members of the law. The ability to step into another persons shoes is only beneficial. On the contrary however, sue the SH*T outta them pigs!
