if you are in the USA, contact the immigration dept and request a returning resident visa form. you need to fill this form out and send it in.
If it is approved, you will have permission to stay out of the USA for up to 2 years without losing your green card status.
But you MUST apply for and GET this permission BEFORE you leave USA. And you must have a good reason for doing so. |
