How can I take my name out of the "supporter" on immigration, he came here because I signed papers saying that I was his supporter for his green card, now I want to take it out, anyone has any idea or input on this?

Once you sponsor or co-sponsor someone for a green card, you signed up for a 10 yr responsibility. Once you signed on the dotted line, and he has his green card, there is NO backing out.
Did you read the form about the responsibilities a sponsor has? If he claims any sort of benefits, like welfare, food stamps, medicaid ETC ect, they can come back on you to get the money to cover the benefits he received. Being a sponsor or co sponsor is a BIG deal and should never be taken into lightly.
I am sorry to tell you this, but unless he becomes a US citizen (when he reaches the appropriate time) then you are stuck with this over your head for a decade.

I'm guessing you "sponsored" him. His case should have a file number. Contact INS to update sponsoship information. If you don't have number, just call Immigration & Naturalization Service, explain what you want and ask where to direct letter to have place in his file. Tell them you are wanting to retract your sponsorship. |

since your brother-in-law is already in the US,(he came here)
it is too late, you signed that you would be his sponsor,then you are responsible for him. |

An applicant or petitioner may withdraw an application or petition, Form I-864, I-864EZ or I-864A, at any time until a decision is issued by USCIS or, in the case of an approved petition, until the person is admitted or granted adjustment or change of status, based on the petition. However, a withdrawal may not be retracted.
