I-94 Form flying from NYC to Bahamas?

I was wondering will immigration take my 1-94 form when i leave the USA from NYC to Bahahamas? I'm currently here on a B-2 Visa and when i wen to Canada customs didnt take my 1-94... Just wondering if anyone has had this happen, thanks. FYI, im on an Australian passport.

As long as you travel to Canada, Mexico, and the adjacent islands of the caribbean to include the Bahamas you do not have to turn-in your form I-94, however the time of stay granted will not be prolonged by that travel.

Yes. It is generally not lifted if someone goes to Canada and is returning to the US. For departures elsewhere it should be lifted.
