I agree that it is causing problems in our society. But, each illegal alien is a human being trying to make a better life for themselves and their families. So point the finger at our governmental shortfalls, not at the people working at bettering their lives.
Why is the government so lax? Because big companies lobby, so they can get cheap labor. There is a problem but it is not the illegal aliens. |

Saddam hussien was the same but becuase there is oil in Iraq america sent in the troops. no one will send in the troops to aid the mexicans why no profit..If I were placed in the position of seeing my family starve I would would do anything to feed them including working illegaly. every person has a right to work and better themselves but some governments dont want this for their people so what can the people do. the people of iraq could do nothing untill the troops arived, so istead of blaming the poor illigal. ask your government to help them. or are you one of those people who would prefer to not no if others are suffering as long as it does not effect you. |

The borders should be closed! But, with the new democratic congress Bush will get his way and we will have 20 million new Democratic voting voting members of America on the public dole.
They in turn will bring north another 20 million of their family members. Also, on the dole, here! Ask anyone in So Cali why 1/3 of the hospitals have closed! We have a law to build a 700 mile fence.
But, the new Congress will never fund it. The tsunami of illegals will continue to erode the western culture of America until we look like just another 3rd world nation! |

I am son of Legal Immigrant parents, and I am against Illegal aliens because they are cutting in line. Lots of legal immigrants spend years waiting to come to America and fill out the proper paper work and spend lots of moneys to come here legally, but Illegal aliens cut in line and steal Americas resources.
Plus, most legal immigrants are educated and from middle class families and come here and benefit America by doing things right.
Illegal aliens, in contrast, are not educated, most dont speak English, some are even criminals, and come here with no benefit to the future of American culture and society.
If illegal aliens were to leave the country, lot of the resources they take like hospital, school, welfare, etc. could be used for other people or purposes. |

I am against ILLEGAL aliens, but if the administration of Mexico would take care of the people who live there i.e., better work conditions and actual giving decent jobs to them, better housing and a better overall living conditions, then they wouldn't be crossing the borders to get here in the first place.
They come here to get work to send money back to the family so the family can afford to live and eat. Those are the main reasons they are coming here. I know there are other reasons too.
One of the posts above said that they are doing jobs that Americans don't want to do. Okay, if they stopped harvesting the fields because that's where we most often see them working, would you be willing to take over that job? Even most of our teenagers wouldn't do that work. Because that is hard back-breaking work. Would you do that?
Both of my parents were raised on farms and through the Depression they as kids were taught to harvest and thresh the fields, milk the cows, feed the chickens and do all the chores that make up taking care of a farm and raising acres of fruits and vegetables and nut trees. Would you be willing to do all that yourself?
I wish I had an answer to this problem, because what they're doing is a crime. It can take years to go through the legal process of becoming an American citizen so that they can bring their family here and live a free life like we do.
Instead of getting up in arms about the situation, getting angry and becoming hateful, why can't we try to brainstorm and figure out how to help them instead of denigrating them. |
