Hopefully, you, a legal citizen are not contributing to the following:
overcrowded and under-funded schools
diseases
increased health care costs
degraded health care service
higher auto insurance premiums
poverty
lawlessness
social conflict
over-population
unemployment
lowered wages
vote fraud
increased crime
illegal drugs
environmental degradation
depletion of natural resources
loss of common language and culture
increased traffic congestion
higher taxes
The solution to the illegal alien problem is squeezing the illegal population through consistent, across-the-board law enforcement to bring about an annual reduction in the illegal population rather than the annual increases we have seen for more than a decade. Over a few years, the number of illegal aliens would drop significantly, shrinking the problem from a crisis to a manageable nuisance. Remember that the purpose of immigration law enforcement is to stop illegal immigration, not persecute individuals. Illegal aliens will have to accept the consequences of their illegal actions.
Attrition! Not Amnesty! |

You are in the country legally...they are not...next idiotic question... |

Nations have borders for a reason, you just can't go into another nation because we're all human beings. You should respect a nation's sovereignty, & their right to have a sane immigration policy. Legal immigrants do those things, & illegal immigrants do not. That's the difference between legal & illegal immigrants. |
|

illegal immigrants are not citizens of this country, and should not be here |

Regardless of your stupid riddle, if you obeyed our nations laws while coming here, you are legal. If not, you are illegal.
That, my dear, should NOT be a riddle...it's the "law of the land". If you want to be in our land, you obey the law!
-Nuff said! |

You went through the proper process and they didn't, and therefore they shouldn't be in the country. Duh! Next question. |

Once again for the kiddies in the back row, it's about the right of the Americans citizens to set and enforce their own immigration laws not the illegals no matter how hard working, well intended, or how many silly little girls post on line silly little posting |

Law abiding would be my first answer, track-able would be my second.
Legality would be the difference between you and an illegal immigrant. You apparently thought enough about the citizens of the United States to follow our immigration laws. |
|

lebanesebabe

they were not born in that country and do not have official documents to confirm that they are legally allowed to stay in that country |
|

You followed the rules. |

Well, you have a right to be here, and an illegal, until he applies legally, has no right to be here. You're legal because your parents are citizens of America, and, at one time, your ancestors legally came to live in America. An illegal is called so because he is not an American citizen, and has come into America without proper authorization. Once the illegal obeys immigration laws, he gets his visas, green card, citizenship, etc. He then becomes a LEGAL resident of the United States.
I know you're trying to be sentimental. "Oh, we're so mean! Illegal's are people just like us, who just want to have a better life!"
Yeah, well, we all want a better life. I may want to live in Bill Gate's house, but that doesn't mean I'm going to break in and hide in his living room. Stop trying to appeal to people's emotions. |

The difference is one is here legally, the other illegally. One has entered a soverign nation without permission, one was born here, therefore should recieve all the benefits of citizenship, the other jail time. |

You didn't break the law. You are probably educated and won't cost the taxpayers $10,000 annually in benefits due to lack of skills and literacy. |
|

You are absolutely correct. There is no difference. They want to take something that isn't theirs and you want to give something away that isn't yours.
Sounds like both of you would make fine politicians.
I have an idea, why don't both of you go home. Please, don't let me slow you down...
Working from your convoluted logic there is no real difference between Adolph Hitler and Mother Teressa.
BTW:
I am a "Mass Murderer"..?
Less 12 letters and a space.
The part of this that really scares me is you believe what you say. When a person can't distinguish between what is lawful and what isn't their defense become "not guilty by reason of insanity". Under those conditions you are certainly "not guilty". |

Just by asking your question you have already answered it. Legal vs ilegal. so if your asking why aren't all humans able to walk and live where they want thats simple the laws of that country. |
|

DAR
 |
You aren't illegally present using benefits like schools that are very expensive and were built and funded by others for their own children when your burden on those benefits ruins them for the children of the people who are paying for them. |
|

?

It depends on if you're a law abiding citizen. If so, that would be the difference. One of you are and the other isn't. Some other differences would be English language. And of course official paperwork. Do you use your own name and numbers or have you stolen someone else's identity? |
|

Razor Jim

The way your question is worded indicates you and the other person are both illegal...so no difference |

There is no differences to me,you are both human beings due the respect of human rights,. I would rather my tax dollars be spent on the undocumented that want to learn , then on these neo con clones our schools are turning out.
Also a star for you!! |

there is no difference at all.
Both of you are playing the same game of ball, so you are not better at all. |
|

Made_in_America

Simply put, you are illegal and have broken the law.
What would happen if no one abides by laws? Are we to selectively choose what laws to break? |
|

Tapping on your toes

As far as being human there is not difference. As far as being a law-breaker there is. People can immigrate here everyday - legally and be law-abiding citizens. |

illegal(have no privileges, If something happens to you like you go to jail, you don't have the right to choose to stay or help yourself, no one will listen, Your money will be gone. Your lawyer will not be able to stop immigration from deporting you, You don't have any benefits here, you cannot vote for the person who wants to help you
then there are those who are citizens!! Have the right to an attorney. a lawyer, we have the right to vote. we get to have a greater benefits than those who are not here legally, we dont need to worry about caring papers around with us to say that we are able to work,
Being illegal is illegal!! no questions asked!! sorry hun |

You have not broken our laws by entering our country without proper permission, or documentation. I am also going to assume that you have not stolen someone's identity, including their ss#, which is against the law as well. |

illegal immigrant means he has no papers and has not filed for any papers to stay as a resident.. but if you are asking human wise you are the same.. |

One thing is you apparently have a lot of time on your hands-----you are a top contributor.
Why aren't you out in the field picking lettuce? |

alot in so far as Anti-immigrants are concerned |

There is no difference! You are both Illegal and need to be deported! Then try and come back the right way-- legally. You people are bringing disease, crime and are taking away American jobs. If you can't be here legally, then please leave and take the others with you! |
|

stinkyrichdad
|
difference is nothing and i totally agree if you can make it here you should be able to stay. we are all humans |
|

Celest
 |
Well do you have a green card?
Cause if your married to someone, that is a american citizen (I believe you have three years to get legal) and if you have a green card your legal also. That's the difference if your legal or not. |
