my boyfriend is illegal and i am a US citizen. about a year ago he was with his friends and they went to target and stole a ear phone for the ipod. he was then deported to mexico and then he came back. after a while they stopped him for a light that wasn't working in his car and found out he didnt go to court. He wasn't aware he was supposed to go since they sent him to mexico. he was in jail for about 3 months and now he shouldnt be in usa for about 10years. I want to marry him and he wants to marry me. He doesnt drink or party or nothing like that hes a good guy. He just did that stupid mistake of stealing that little thing with his friends about 2 or 3 years ago. Is there anyway he can get his papers fixed? its been almost a year that they told him he could be in the us for 10 years. Is it bad if hes in the usa when hes not supposed to be?? Please help. thank you.

I know he stole something but you guys don't have to be so mean. Everyone does something stupid at one point in their lives. He knows he did wrong and its not like hes doing it again. He's a good guy, the very few guys that don't drink, smoke, do drugs, or like tats and piercings. Hes a hardworker and goes to church.

The only way for your boyfriend to get papers now is if he goes back to Mexico and gets a pardon from the US embassy which would enable him to be able to come back to the country. You then would have to go to Mexico IF he does get the pardon and marry him there and then request for his papers to come. You usually will get approved in a matter of months and when he is approved he will be able to come here on a CONDITIONAL visa that will enable him to be here legally until his formal documentation comes out. He then has to stay out of trouble, which means no more stealing from Target!!!! After that he will get his papers and you guys will be fine for the rest of time. |

The ten year ban on his re-entry to the US is written in stone. There is no getting around it. There is nothing that can be done since he has proven himself to be of undesirable moral character. If he comes back and is caught again, he will be not only be deported again but he will do prison time before he is sent back.
Illegal alien+criminal record=SOL.

c'mon now, can't you find someone who isn't a thief...or an illegal..so that you can have a normal life. Anyway, once someone has been deported and then returns again..and then is caught again, well a 10 year ban is very likely, nothing you can do to help him, if you really want to be with him you;ll have to be with him in his home country. |
