Yes you can but because you are a resident it takes long time but it does not mean you cannot. It would be better if you are citizen - just few months.

You can marry her if you want. You can sponsor her if you want. You can submit form I-130 to CIS for her if you want. All of these things are possible.
What is not possible is that she can adjust status. She cannot remain in the U.S. while the processing of her permanent resident status is pending. As the spouse of a LPR, the waiting period for immigrant status is roughly 5 years.
If you petition for her, she can apply for an immigrant visa, but it will have to take place outside the U.S. with consular processing. She cannot adjust status as an F2-1 immigrant because a visa number is not immediately available to her.
You are free to marry, but she is not free to live legally in the U.S. until she is issued an immigrant visa at a visa office outside the U.S. |

You should first become a citizen.....
depends on what country she is from, she may just be able to apply for an adjustment of status and advanced parole from immigration.... go to the ins website, get their 80 number and ask them directly... or go in person....
As long as she came legally. you can marry her if you love her... and apply for an adjustment of status.... 1st you marry her, then you both go to the immigration office and take it from there... it's going to cost under a grand or so... if you use an immigration lawyer, he may rip you off,.. you dont need that..

Only citizens can do that, just because your a resident does not necessarily mean you are a citizen. If you are a citizen though yeah I guess. |
