IF she has a green card despite what all these folks have said she CAN sponsor you if you are married, you will have to leave the country and wait. She cannot sponsor you for a fiance visa.
"If the sponsor is a lawful permanent resident, they may petition for the following foreign national relatives to immigrate to the U.S.:
* Husband or wife,..."

It depends what is her status. If she is a permanent resident ( have a green card) she won't be able to petition for you till she is a citizen. So you might end up staying here illegaly. |

no you just get married and you remain a tourist and then if you want to stay you have to apply for a visa to stay. |

You could be. It depends on different factors. In general, if she is an immigrant with a green card, she has been an immigrant for three years (CONFIRM that it's three years!), then she can petition for your residency. It will take a while though. |

If she is only green card holder, you have to wait from 5-7 years after she filed you petition after married. During that time you cannot wait in US unless you have aother valid non immigrant visa.

If she is US Citizen, you get married and she will file I-130, G-352a, I-864, I-485, I-131, I-765 and the filing fees for all are $1,365.

Hopefully she is legal. If you marry on a tourist visa, you will need to go back to your own country and apply for a fiance visa. All depends on what her status is in this country and from what country you would be coming from. |

No, depend which country you are at.
You can't be an immigrant if your nationality said wherever you belongs to. And you can't marry a person without registration of marriage at whichever country. Unless yours is those that is improvisation marriage at church by the pastor only or the father and not official ones on the certificate.
If you marry an immigrant in your country, you should help her to get a visit pass or deployment pass 1st. Then you marry her at the ROM in your country, she will become the same citizen with you. You will apply for her as spouse for citizenship. But all this incur money, situation and clauses as well. Hopefully, shes not a law offender of another country. |
