Ireland has one of the most lenient immigration policy in Europe.

Dave, if you are planning on not working, sponging off the government and breading like a rabbit, whilst creating the ethics of a complete moron. I'd suggest the UK.

With the amount of backdoor taxes we now pay, I am sure we can support you, your 324 cousins, 162 arranged marriages and 537 Asylum claims a day, "as you're no doubt being victimised by the American government for wanting to work".

However, on the plus side!!! If you can't speak English, we'll foot the bill of your legal aid claim to fill in all the forms for you. Cost, 9500 pounds. There's plenty to go around in the UK...P.S. I am selling up and moving to NZ. So there will be one vacancy, I can't stand the place now.

22 out of 30 of our family have left in the last 3 years. No Family Values, penalised for working, single mothers that fire em out like they're the latest ATM machine in government benefits, more government workers than private workers. And a bunch of moaning layabouts, that shout and scream about all the jobs "they clearly can't be arsed to do being taken by some immigrant who wants to work".

Cracking Country though Dave, immigration consists of 24 quid copy for the copy marriage license once you've sorted out an arranged marriage ...However for that 24 quid you get, 57 quid a week for yourself, 40 quid per week per child (I would recommend at least 8), plus family allowance, plus all your rent paid, no property taxes and the opportunity to bring your entire family here after 3 years.

Have I sold it to you?

Try Poland, it`s empty due all the Poles being over her in the UK

It depends on your skillset and language ability.

Of course, if you had either, you probably wouldn't be asking here, so I guess you're screwed.

Maybe you should move to Southern California and pretend you're in Spain.

I have to say your countrymen seem to be a mite agitated at you jumping ship, they must be republicans but don't be put off, here in England, much like America, immigrants are welcomed with open arms. Our prime minister has recently announced that all immigrants need to learn the language before they are allowed in so that might be your only stumbling block but there are so many other nationalities here now that it is hard to tell which is the indiginous population, I don't think there are that many Americans though. Best of luck and I hope you can escape soon.

i wouldnt suggest Europe....maybe Austrailia. But Denmark and Switzerland arent too hard to get into.

If you think you can just buy a ticket and head on out, you're wrong. You need a passport first, then you have to check to see what requirements other countries have to seek immigration. It's a long process, so be ready for a wait.

dont move to europe, not a good place to move these days

Can you swim? Why not cross the Rio Grande -- do an illegal alien thing in reverse? The best way to learn a new language is by total immersion in it, and you can bet there wouldn't be bi-lingual schools and ballots in Mexico. Not sure about food stamps, welfare, free medical care, but I have my doubts. Of course you'd have to work for peanuts, but your standard of living would adjust to match.

JIM
really depends on your present economic situation. mexico has regions on the gulf of mexico where those such as you live well because living is vastly cheaper. it has some downsides but you should check it out. i cannot remember the name of the place one couple on a visit here told me. and i have read articles. if you can afford it, move to new zealand or anywhere you choose. the money is the thing. if you have to work, that must be a very high priority in your researching possible places. i understand why you would want to do such a thing. i often think of the brave people who sailed from liverpool and began the colonies. well, they did it. but there is a spreading cancer where you live. do it!

France, where else?

Where am I?
Try to find a job and have them get the immigration rolling for you. When I still lived there, there were a lot of adds for DHL in Ireland, who wanted to take internationals. The link below is a good website for jobs in Europe.

Gosh Dave. We're sure gonna miss ya.

You might try Bosnia? Eastern Europe, but I think you'd have a wonderful time there.

Good luck.

Espana! .However if you want retirement I would say Hungary.

You might as well come to Britain, then when about 60.000.000 of you have arrived and all the indigenous British have left you can make this the 52nd or is that 53rd state. It might as well be after B'liar.

Mama~peapod
Well, you may find England rather full, as most people from the EU have gone there. So you should find the rest of Europe pretty much empty.

I live part-time in Hungary. My husband is from Hungary though he has lived in the USA for most of his life(over35 years)
The only reason we live here is that we feel that somehow due to our own mistakes with money and some small businesses we had, we missed the so called boat.
It is much cheaper to live here but you must change your lifestyle.Cars, gasoline and luxury items are more than twice what you would pay in the USA.Food and shelter is much cheaper.
We are getting close to retirement age( at least my husband is) so it will work out alright for us here for now.Don't know what the future will bring.
You should go to a new country with as much money as you can and clear credit, just in case you change your mind later it is good to have something like good credit to fall back on.
Jobs are pretty much low paying here and most people are college educated so there are many people looking for good paying jobs here.
They all want to come to the US.Funny how everyone thinks the grass is greener on the other side of the ocean.Good luck, always visit a place first before you move.

You're going to make a big decision like this and you're asking strangers on Yahoo where to move?

Have you thought this out thoroughly?

Are you mature enough to move permanently?

Since you have not stated why you want to move, it is difficult to determine what country to recommend. I have considered for some time now leaving the US. But my reasons are about the US government and how screwed up we have allowed it to become. But what other country is there that has a better government? Well, Switzerland is one. Though it is expensive, it is peaceful. Since my husband is Czech, we have discussed one day retiring in the Czech Republic. Anywhere you decide, it will be a huge cultural change. I know if I moved to the CZ, I would not have access to the material things (food wise, I am a gourmand). But I could learn to adapt just for a more peaceful existence. Be sure to research the country well, visit more than once, and stay longer than a week. Best of luck!

LadyMoonlight!!
Come to the UK and take advantage of our Benefit System, housing and free healthcare. Everyone else does.

Or else try Poland. Must be pretty much empty now as they're all over here.

pensterx
I recommend Germany. There are several American companies here and you could also get work as an English teacher. A visa isn't that hard to get.
